Vindicia CTO to Present at Cloud Expo 2010

Brett Thomas to discuss cloud-based compliance requirements at the largest Cloud event in the world

Vindicia Session at Cloud Expo

The advent of cloud computing has changed how companies market, sell, provision and deploy new services.

However, one of the less understood issues in this environment, especially for those dependent on automatic payments (credit cards), is the idea of compliance and the parallel issue of customer ownership.

In his session at the 5th International Cloud Expo, Brett Thomas, CTO of Vindicia, will draw on his first-hand experiences relating to cloud-based compliance and highlight some of the technical and business process requirements that underlie these concepts.

Cloud Expo is the world's leading Cloud-focused event since 2007, and is held five times a year, in New York City, Silicon Valley, Prague, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

The 5th international Cloud Expo is co-located with the 8th international Virtualization Conference & Expo and will be taking place on April 19-21, 2010, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City with more than 5,000 delegates and over 100 sponsors and exhibitors participating in the conference.

About the Speaker
Brett Thomas, CTO of Vindicia, was previously the VP of Technology at eMusic and a software developer since 1989. He draws on his experiences in actually managing the technical operations of a cloud-based service at Vindicia that handles hundreds of thousands of transactions a day, and can describe lessons learned from implementing a fully PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Over 200 corporate sponsors and 10,000 industry professionals became part of Cloud Expo since its inception, more than all other Cloud-related events put together worldwide.

"Cloud Expo was announced on February 24, 2007, the day the term ‘cloud computing' was coined," said Fuat Kircaali, founder and CEO of SYS-CON Events. "Cloud has become synonymous with ‘computing' and ‘software' in two short years, and this event has become the new PC Expo, Comdex, and InternetWorld of our decade. By 2012, more than 50,000 delegates per year will participate in the Cloud Expo."
